Where is the Maldives?

The Maldives consists of approximately 1,190 islands spread across 26 atolls in the Indian Ocean. The closest neighboring countries are India and Sri Lanka.

When is the best time to visit the Maldives?

The Maldives has warm temperatures year-round, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences:

High Season (December – April): Dry season with sunny skies, perfect for beach lovers and divers. Resorts are usually fully booked, and prices are higher.

Low Season (May – November): More humidity and occasional rain, but still warm. Ideal for budget travelers as resorts offer the best deals during this period.

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

All travelers are granted a free 30-day visa on arrival, regardless of nationality.

What are the COVID-19 procedures in the Maldives?

As of March 13, 2022, a PCR test is no longer required to enter the Maldives.

All travelers must submit the Traveller Declaration Form within 96 hours before arrival and departure.

What should I pack for my trip?

Here’s a quick packing checklist:

What type of electrical outlets are used in the Maldives?

The Maldives uses UK-style three-pin sockets (Type G). Most resorts provide universal adaptors, but bringing your own travel adapter is recommended.

What is the luggage allowance for domestic flights?

Checked luggage: 20kg per person

Hand luggage: 5kg per person

Maximum bag weight: 30kg

If you exceed the limit, extra baggage fees will apply.

Do seaplanes operate at night?

No, seaplanes only fly during daylight. If you’re arriving late in the day, you may need to stay overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé, and we can assist with the arrangements.

Arrival: To reach your resort the same day, book an international flight that lands before 15:30 local time.

Departure: Seaplanes cater to flights departing after 09:00 AM, but exceptions apply—check with us for details.
